This chip, named "B20," will be launched in collaboration with Inspur Group and is aimed at competing with products supported by Huawei and Tencent's Horizon Robotics. This move not only demonstrates NVIDIA's focus on the Chinese market but also heralds a new round of technological competition in the field of AI chips.

05. AI startup Cohere secures $500 million in funding

Cohere, a rising star in the field of artificial intelligence, recently announced the completion of a $500 million new funding round with a strong lineup of investors, including tech giants Cisco, AMD, and Fujitsu. Following this funding round, Cohere's valuation has soared to $5.5 billion. The company's communications director revealed that the newly injected funds will be used to drive the rapid development of the company. Unlike competitors such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Mistral, Cohere focuses on providing customized AI models for enterprises to meet various capability needs. The success of this funding round not only brings financial support to Cohere but also provides strong motivation for its deep cultivation in the field of AI.

06. Fal AI launches new open-source image generation model "Auraflow"

The U.S. innovation company Fal AI recently launched a brand-new open-source image generation model called Auraflow. This model has been launched on the Hugging Face platform, allowing users to freely download and deploy it for commercial purposes. In testing, Auraflow's performance is comparable to OpenAI's DALL-E 3. However, Auraflow has higher hardware requirements, needing at least 12GB of VRAM to run smoothly, compared to DALL-E 3, which requires around 6GB of VRAM. Fal AI developers stated that they are aware of this issue and plan to release smaller-scale open-source models in the future to meet the needs of users with different hardware configurations. This initiative is expected to further promote the popularity and application of open-source AI technology.
